Andy Alexander – Owner/Master Plumber
I grew up in Merriam, Kansas, and graduated from Shawnee Mission North High School. My plumbing career began at 17, when I started working with my friend’s father. I quickly realized that working with my hands came naturally to me and that I enjoyed solving problems. I liked that each day brought a new challenge. That experience laid the foundation for what would ultimately become Andy’s Pipe Dream.
Today, as the owner of Andy’s Pipe Dream, I remain committed to the same principle that has guided me from the beginning: integrity matters. I believe honesty isn’t something you can simply teach. It’s something you choose every day in how you treat people, solve problems, and stand behind your work. That belief shapes the people I hire, the way we serve our customers, and the standards I expect from myself.
For me, plumbing has never been just about pipes, fixtures, and repairs. It’s about helping people. It’s about walking into someone’s home, treating their space with respect, listening to their concerns, and providing the right solution—not simply the most expensive one. My philosophy is simple: help people, and the rest will follow.
That same mindset is at the heart of Andy’s Pipe Dream: being skilled, honest, and impeccable in everything we do. I’m passionate about building a team that leads with integrity, treats others the way they want to be treated, communicates directly and respectfully, and takes pride in doing ordinary tasks with extraordinary execution.
As we grow, my vision is to always be raising the bar for my team, our customers, and the plumbing trade itself, while investing in the next generation of skilled technicians. I believe a successful business should provide exceptional service, create opportunities for its employees, and always do the right thing, even when no one is watching.
